Casa Montefiori is located in the heart of Montefiore dell’Aso, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, and overlooks the town’s main square.
It is the only private residence in this unique setting—an open yet intimate space where time is marked by the sound of church bells, the civic tower, the gentle flow of the fountain, and the presence of the town hall.
A rare location that offers light, tranquillity, and a true sense of balance.
A view between sea and hills
From the house, the view opens across the rolling hills of the Marche region, stretching to the Sibillini Mountains and the ranges of the Laga and Gran Sasso.
Casa Montefiori enjoys a strategic location: it offers easy access to the livelier coastal destinations, while remaining comfortably removed from their crowds and noise.
Montefiore dell’Aso is an ideal starting point for exploring the Marche, with the privilege of returning each evening to a place that feels authentic, balanced, and deeply human.
A family home
Casa Montefiori is a historic family home.
It once belonged to our grandparents and still preserves, at its core, an idea of beauty shaped by care, elegance, and a sense of community.
Over time, the house has lived through generations, changes, and different seasons, without ever losing its identity.
It is a place that tells its story without nostalgia, and that continues to live in the present through those who inhabit it.
The building most likely dates back to the 17th century and retains an architecture that speaks of time without the need for explanation: arches, old doorways, ancient inscriptions, and exposed brickwork.
Inside, wooden floors, solid wood furniture, and paintings create an atmosphere that is warm, lived-in, and never artificial.
The spaces
Casa Montefiori is a 211-square-metre townhouse set over three levels, designed to accommodate up to six guests in comfort and privacy.
On the ground floor are the entrance, a spacious living room, the kitchen, and a secondary kitchen area—spaces intended for conviviality and an easy, natural way of living the house.
All rooms on the ground floor and first floor enjoy direct views over the main square.
The first floor features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small study, ideal for reading or working in quiet surroundings.
On the top level, a mansard with a sober, rustic character opens onto a view that stretches from the sea to the Sibillini Mountains - a space designed for unhurried time, where the landscape becomes part of the home itself.
An idea of hospitality
Casa Montefiori is designed for thoughtful and conscious travel:
families, groups of adult friends, and travellers seeking quality, quiet, and authenticity.
It is a house that asks for respect—like all places that have stood the test of time -
and that gives much in return to those who know how to experience it with discretion.
Behind this idea of hospitality lies a clear vision:
a way of inhabiting and sharing a place that puts the identity of the home
and its connection to the surrounding landscape at its centre.
Casa Montefiori is not meant to be consumed, but to be lived.
A place where time slows down, where the landscape becomes part of everyday life,
and where the experience of travel becomes part of a wider story -
one shaped by relationships, memory, and care.
Who we are
Casa Montefiori is now cared for by Lorenzo, Gianmaria, and Fabio—three brothers connected to this place by a shared family history and a deep sense of belonging.
We often live and work elsewhere, in Italy’s major cities,
within dynamic and contemporary environments.
For this very reason, our decision to take care of this house is not a
nostalgic return, but a conscious choice.
To invest time and energy here, in our hometown, means preserving a place, keeping it alive,
and sharing it with those who recognise the value of things made with care and restraint.
In this way, Casa Montefiori continues to live not only as a physical space,
but as a home that is inhabited, experienced, and respected.
A place that opens itself to those who choose to live it with attention,
becoming part of a story that continues over time.
